Rauvolfia serpentina Benth. (pule pandak) has a high value in both health and economy. The root contains more than 60 types of alkaloid that is useful for curing various diseases. From the contained alkaloids, reserpine is the most essential one as a cure for hypertension. Specific morphological information on root yield character and reserpina amount will make it easy to visually and quickly recognize the quantity and quality of pule pandak simplisia yield although environment factors are very influential. The research is aimed to obtain specific morphological character as root yield identifier and reserpine amount with location test. Conclusion: location of pule pandak cultivation is altitude on 600m-450m above sea level, under the teak or sengon (Paraserianthes falcattaria), latosol soil, fertilizer doses 20t/ha – 30 t/ha showing that : 1. the increase of leaf numbers and root diameter, followed by root’s dry weight. 2. The increase of root diameter will be followed by reserpine amount.
