Heavy metals and organic pollutants are two types of waste that is harmful to the environment because it has high toxicity and difficult handling. To overcome these problems, cationic surfactant adsorbent system with local montmorillonite from Wonosegoro Boyolali have been synthesized. Adsorbent system has a positive advantages, i.e.that lower toxicity, less environmental impact, the availability of abundant raw, and commercially feasible. Stages of research include surfactant adsorbent synthesis, characterization, and application of absorption of heavy metals and organic pollutants. The results reported are the result of research the second year of 2 (two) years of research. The focus of the second year of research include the testing of adsorbent regeneration of organic pollutant uptake and application of textile dye wastewater. The results showed that the regeneration technique using n-hexane is effective to use on the regeneration of cationic surfactants with montmorillonite buffer local to organic pollutants. Adsorbtion capacity after regeneration of toluene on the variation of contact time of washing 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, 4 hours, and 5 hours is obtained, each for 68.18 ppm, 72.25 ppm, 75.31 ppm; 78.53 ppm, 77.98 ppm with 80.00 ppm initial concentration of toluene. The system is also highly effective adsorbent used as a textile dye waste remediator. Its application to textile dyes Malachite Green and Procion Red MX 8B shows that the adsorbent can absorb Malachite Green by 94.2% and Procion Red MX 8B of 73.0%.
