THE DEVELOPMENT OF CLINICAL-COLLABORATIVE SUPERVISION SERVICE MODEL TO IMPROVE CLASSROOM ASSESMENT COMPETENCE OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS OF BAHASA INDONESIA IN SUKOHARJO

This research aims at (1) describing the perception of students, teachers, principles, supervisor, and decision makers toward classroom assessment; (2) describing the implementation of classroom assessment; (3) arranging clinical-collaborative supervision service model to improve the competence of teachers on classroom assessment; and (4) to establish a guiding book of clinical-collaborative implementation. The method applied in this research is research and development. Research and development (R & D) is also called development based research. Referring to the concept, this research is divided into three steps, namely exploration and pre-modeling, experiment and model development, and model experiment. Explorative study aims at describing and explaining (1) the perception of students and teachers, principles, supervisor, and decision makers toward classroom assessment and (2) the application of classroom assessment in learning process. For the experiment and model development the researchers applied classroom action research. For model examination of clinical-collaborative supervision service model to improve the competence of teachers, the researchers applied experiment method. This research also applied Pretest-posttest Design with T-test for the data analysis. Based on the result, the researchers conclude as follow. First, based on explorative study, the research can draw some conclusion: (1) students, teachers, principles, supervisors and decision in the educational field, in general have got good or positive perception toward classroom assessment and (2) although teacher’s perception toward classroom assessment is positive, they generally haven’t been able to improve good instruments of classroom assessment well enough. Second, based on the theoretic research and the result of explorative study,it has been arranged clinical-collaborative supervision service model to improve classroom assessment competence of the teachers. Through classroom action reseach, the early model has been , successfully improved. The improvement to the early model is by involving the board of MGMP, principles and supervisor directly to conduct supervision toward the teachers. Third, based on the result of the experiment, it can be concluded that clinical-collaborative supervision service model affects on the competence of classroom assessment competence of junior high school teachers of Bahasa Indonesia in Sukoharjo.
